Call alignment

The 'Call alignment' property determines where Trace Modeler places the label on a message call arrow.

There are three possible values : Sender, Center and Receiver.

It is one of the diagram style properties, the examples below demonstrate its effect on a diagram.

Note that this is not a matter of left/center/right alignment, it all depends on the relative positions of the sender and the receiver, as well as on the value of the 'Layout direction' style property.

For a visually pleasing diagram, consider using one of the popular combinations for call and return alignment.

To change the 'Call alignment' for a style

  1. Open the 'Diagram style' window
  2. Select the desired alignment in the 'Call alignment' dropdown list
