The license key you install determines the license type under which you are using Trace Modeler. Please refer to the end user license agreement (EULA) for details about the specific terms of each license type.
Whenever you install a license key or run Trace Modeler under an evaluation license for the first time, you will be asked to agree to the terms of the license agreement. Please read it carefully!
When Trace Modeler starts and cannot find a valid license key, it will show the following dialog
Trace Modeler has a very liberal evaluation mode, the program is not crippled in any way so you can evaluate every single one of its many time-saving features.
However, when you're using Trace Modeler under an Evaluation License, a watermark is added to all your diagrams.
You can install your license key either at startup or later on. Once you license key has been installed, the watermark will disappear from the screen and any future exported graphics files.

Note that Trace Modeler will look for the license key file each time it starts. If you ever decide to move it to a different location, you'll have install it again.
When the license key is properly installed, Trace Modeler will display a message with licensing details and the watermark will have been removed. You can always access these licensing details in the 'About' window.
